First Day of School

Today was the first day of school for all of our boys. If you don't know we have been home schooling them for the past 4+ years, but this year we decided to give mom a break and send them to school. Logan, Christian, and Gavyn are all in school this year. We had spent the last few months talking it up, so they were all really excited. This is all three of them and Andy heading to the school.
Here is Logan going into his class. Wow 4th grade, where has the time gone?
Christian is in 3rd this year. He was a little nervous, but he is very social like his mom, so her will be just fine.
Here is Gavyn waiting outside in his line. He was really nervous. They have all day kindergarten, so this morning he asked if he could change and not go all day. He said that he didn't want to leave me all day. It was so sad. But I told him that all the kindergartners are there all day, and he would make a lot of friends.
Here is the sad march into the classroom. Andy walked with him since all of the supplies we are supposed to buy are way to heavy for him to carry.
It was a sad day, but the house is so quiet and clean. With only two around I can get so much more done!

Logan's Scout Rocket Derby

This month (August) at Logan's Cub Scout pack meeting, they had rocket ship races.

He had a lot of fun putting it together with his dad. Andy ended up not being able to go because he had a work meeting, but Logan ended up having a lot of fun. Not to mention there were plenty of men there to help. Something about the mention of rocket ships and racing and they all show up. Go figure!

He ended up getting the Black Bomber award. Since this was new to the scout program here, they didn't do official races, they were just testing it out. All in all it was a lot of fun for the boys.

Where's Emmalee?

I was in the back of the house doing some grueling work. I had turned on the television to you know babysit Gavyn and Jaidyn. lol Emmalee was asleep in her swing, and this is what I found when I came out to check on them all.
They had decided to play where's Waldo with there sister.

Emmalee of course was laughing it up, so they just kept piling on the animals.

Christian's Demand

You know how everyday your kids say things that you make a mental note to write down? Well, today Christian said the funniest thing and I thought, 'Oh my gosh, where does he get it from.'
So we were in the kitchen finishing up another clean up. At my house if we stay in all day we have to do at least 3 clean ups. You know put toys back where they go and stuff like that. Anyhow, I was talking to Christian in the kitchen and he was telling me that for his birthday how he wants a memory card for the playstation. And I said, "I thought you wanted a Wii?" And he was like, "I do!" Then I was like, "Well, it sure seems like you want a lot for your birthday. You are getting really expensive."
Then he says, "Mom, it is my big birthday. I am turning 8." Which is a big deal at our house because they get baptized. Which the big thing is suppose to be that they get there own nice new set of scriptures.
So anyhow, he then goes on and says, "Well, the biggest birthday will be my 16th birthday and if you guys ruin that day I will not go to college and I will live at home forever, and you will have to pay for me to live the rest of my life!"
So then I asked, "How would we ruin your 16th birthday?"
His response was..... "By being boring."
Oh my gosh!!! Where do kids get it from.

Happy Anniversary

On August 8th Andy and I had our 10 year anniversary. Having so many kids, we NEVER get the chance to go anywhere. So, we decided to do something just the two of us. We didn't go very far, we just couldn't bring ourselves to leaving our kids and taking off. We ended up planning a two day trip to Disneyland. It was so fun! Surprisingly it was not busy at all, and the weather was not all that bad either. We got to go to both parks. On Thursday we went to Disney, and did all the fun things over there. Then on Friday, we went to California Adventure. It was both of our first times at California Adventure. There are so many cool things there. For anyone that has not gone there yet, if there is anyone, you have to go there. The rides are so fun, and not just that they have so many cool things to see there.
I have to say that I do have the most awesome husband around. On the night of our anniversary we left the park, went back to our hotel and got ready to go out to dinner. He didn't tell me where we were going. No matter how hard I tried to get it out of him he kept quiet. He had made reservations at Orange Hill. It is this fancy pansy restaurant in the hills of Anaheim. When they seated us there was this vase of roses that were there waiting for me. It was so romantic. The funny thing is I knew he got flowers, but for some reason I thought he forgot that we were going out of town, and when we got back there would be this flower delivery sitting on our doorstep. Anyhow, he really does like to go out of his way to suprise me.
Andy, I love you, since I don't tell you thank you that much, here we go: Thank you for such a wonderful time. Thank you for the best ten years, I can't wait to see what we do with the next ten. Thank you for 5 of the most beautiful children. Thank you for always thinking of your family first. Thank you for letting me sleep in on Saturdays, even though you get up early every day of the week. Thank you for being such a great father to our children. Thank you for the going without so others can have more. Thank you for your kind words when they are needed. Thank you for sometimes just not saying anything at all. Thank you for .......
I love you babe! Happy Anniversary!!

To wrap up our awesome week, it was my mom's birthday on Saturday. When we went to pick up the kids from my parent's house, they were all going out to the beach. Andy and I decided to stay at their house with Emmalee while they went, since we were pretty pooped out from Disneyland. When they all got back my dad took my mom Andy and I out to Claim Jumpers for her birthday. It was a fun time.

Happy Birthday Mom, we love you!!!

Emmalee Swimming with Jessica

Emmalee had her first swimming lesson with Jessica. Of course it wasn't her first time in the water.
Obviously as you can tell, she did not like it too much.
Isn't Gavyn so cute? I love the up close pictures that really focus on their features.
Look at Jaidyn's beautiful brown eyes. They totally fit his personality.
Isn't she cute with the little flower in her ear? Our little Hawaiian princess.
