HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS

Last night we decided it was about time that we took the boys to go see Santa. Logan has been really sick, so we haven't been able to go. So after a week of medication he finally started to LOOK and feel better. They all got dressed really fast! It makes me think that they purposely dress slow on Sunday for church. If Santa was at church every Sunday we would probably be on time.
We waited in the wrong line for 30 minutes. Then when we were told to go to the other line we had to wait another 15 to 30 minutes. We went from being in front to being in the back of the line.

They all told Santa what they wanted, and then we went out to dinner.
Funny story: Gavyn's teacher at school told the class that they should only ask Santa for one gift because Christmas is not about getting presents, it is about giving. So this year Gavyn had decided to only ask for big EXPENSIVE things. He wants to make sure he gets his fair share. The gifts have changed, but they range from things like a real motorcycle, a real quad, a Nintendo DS, and so on. I am glad that she tried to get that lesson across to her students, but sometimes the student finds a loop hole.

IT'S TIN FOIL MAN!

I just found this picture of Jaidyn from a little over a year ago. He had the greatest chipmunk cheeks. They were so huge! Now he has grown up so much that his little cheekies don't look so full. One of daddy's favorite things is when his babies fall asleep on him. So cute!
And now the best of all. I was really really sick, and Jaidyn got into everything.

He is obsessed with Iron Man, and his costume was dirty, so he improvised.

He became Tin Foil Man! Mask and all.

Notice the crotchless uniform, that is so he can go to the bathroom. Later that day Andy went to get him pajamas, and found all of his foil pieces stuck in his drawer. He wanted to save it for Halloween! He cracks me up.

EMMALEE'S FIRST HAIRDOO

Emmalee got her hair done for the first time EVER!!! She has really pretty fine hair, and it finally has gotten thick enough that I can put barrettes in it.She is so fun.
I have tried to do the barrette thing, but they never would stay in.

Tada! She has enough hair for it finally.

Chewing on a comb.

Our little princess!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTIAN

On Thanksgiving Christian had his 8th birthday. He was so excited to be turning 8 since he will be getting baptized. He really wanted a Wii, so of course his dad delivered. Notice the evil look in his eye! The look of satisfaction he got what he has been wanting FOREVER!
We have all come to love the Wii, it is a great way to get the whole family ACTIVELY involved together. Not to mention it is great for all ages, young and old. It is definitely a system where you do not sit down. We were all over the place. The next day Andy and I were seriously sore from playing tennis, golf, bowling, baseball, and of course boxing. We are just too competitive for each other.

Over all, it was a really fun birthday, filled with turkey, stuffing, cheesy mashed potatoes (yum), peas, rolls, cake, ice cream, and of course a lot of Wii!

My boys! Emmalee was sick. :(
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTIAN! MOMMY AND DADDY LOVE YOU!

CONGRATULATIONS GAVYN!!!!

Congratulations Gavyn for getting an award for being a respectful student. He was so sick, but her tuffed it out just so he could stand in front of everyone and collect his award.
We are so proud of you Gavyn.

Gavyn is doing excellent in school is is ahead of where he is suppose to be already. I think the fact that he loves to go (finally) is the biggest reason.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANDY!

This Wednesday November 19th was Andy's 30th birthday. We actually celebrated it all week long, which was fun for the both of us. I gave him presents all day long that we had gotten for him. Then later that night we had a bunch of our friends over for cake, ice cream, and nothing else but karaoke.
It was fun we all really had a good time.

So, I let Andy pick out what cake he wanted and what he wanted it to say.
He chose to have a turkey cake, because he thought it was better then the flower one, and we were too late to get a super hero cake.
On it he had written, "You've done a good job!" "Thanks for the memories!"
"The 20"s are over!!!"

On Saturday we went to Disneyland, just Andy and I, and hung out. It is our favorite time of year to go there, and we wanted to of course hop on It's A Small World. It was all decorated for Christmas, and after the firework show, they had snow, which was actually just foam, shoot out of the light poles. It was pretty fun.

In conclusion of Andy's birthday, I was planning on listing my 30 favorite things about him!
1. He always thinks of others first.
2. He doesn't mind me sleeping in.
3. He has no problem getting up with the baby at night.
4. He is a great father.
5. He is a wonderful husband.
6. He is honest.
7. He is hard working.
8. He is always striving to be better at whatever it is he is doing.
9. He is patient.
10. He will eat anything I cook.
11. He always asks what I want first.
12. He likes to sing karaoke with me.
13. He doesn't make fun of me when I do something stupid.
14. We think exactly the same.
15. We can ride in the car with each other, and just enjoy the silence.
16. He actually listens to me when I talk.
17. He always interrupts me when I talk. (This is good because it makes me not feel bad for being the same way.)
18. We can laugh together for hours.
19. He likes to snuggle for just the right amount of time.
20. He cooks dinner when I don't want to, without complaining.
21. He helps with everything around the house.
22. He knows that being a stay at home mom is hard, and would never want to change places.
23. He is a worthy priesthood holder.
24. We love the same kind of movies, and is totally willing to sit through a crazy chick flick. For example he took me to see Twilight on Friday.
25. He loves to read.
26. He thinks education is just as important as I think it is.
27. He is my best friend.
28. He looks good in a suit.

BABY'S GOT BACK

So yeah, if you read the title, our baby has definitely got a rear end. However so do all of her brothers. I guess it is the one true gift that I have given to my children, a butt! Now to explain the pictures. Well, Emmalee is standing now, and apparently a Bumbo stuck on her butt is not going to keep her down. She decided to get up and move around with it on.
He legs are so chubby, that she has a hard time wiggling them out on her own. Honestly, we all have a hard time wiggling her legs out of that thing.

Even daddy!

And of course what is the use of turning on the camera without having Gavyn jump in front of it to make sure he gets his photo op in. Yes, that is a horse on his head. It's this funny hand puppet that Andy got the boys from Texas. They enjoy wearing it on their head more then their hand. I guess it is just funnier that way.

MORE HALLOWEEN PHOTOS

Here is one more of Emmalee. Her daddy is holding her. Oh yeah, a little update on her. Today she started to say mama. She has been saying dada for about a month and a half, and finally after a ton of persuation and bribery (just kidding) she finally said it. Yea!!! She is also standing up, pulling her self up, and crawling like a maniac. And she has SIX razor sharp teeth. Still barely any hair though, I am waiting patiently to pull up her hair, or braid it or something like that. Here is a group photo of everyone. The extra little girl is not ours, she is one of my really good friends little girl, she went trick or treating with us. Aren't they all so cute and scary!

TRICK OR TREAT

So, it is yet another Halloween, and of course we enjoy dressing up the kids as much as they enjoy getting dressed up for it. My favorite part is pretending that I am a makeup artist, I mean isn't Halloween the one day a year when you can be whatever you want? hahaha Above is Christian, this year he chose to be the gate keeper. Not of heaven, but the other place, down below. SCARY!!!
Gavyn was of course the Incredible Hulk, giant hands and all.
HULK SMASH......

Jaidyn was none other then Iron Man. Can I tell you that Jaidyn and I have watched that Iron Man movie about a thousand times. Please come out with a new super hero movie, I am dying.

Emmalee was a devil. Not just any devil, but a princess devil. She was so cute! Of course the horns later became her own personal chew toy, and people thought she was a lady bug, but whatever, she was still adorable.

Logan was a knight. He is actually really sick here, but he stuck it out, and tried to enjoy his self. Even though he was ready to do the moment we started.

HALLOWEEN COMES EARLY

Okay so this picture doesn't have anything to do with Halloween, but it was so funny. We went down to the pool, yes you read that right down to the pool. It is the middle of October and hotter then it was all summer. Anyhow, when we got up to our place, I put Emmalee in her Bumbo (which is the greatest invention ever, just sorry that it only came out on our last baby), so I put her in her Bumbo, and she totally crashed out. She was out like a light, and didn't wake up for anything. It must have been the October heat! Now for the reason I actually came here to blog. Halloween comes early for one little boy. We as a family love Halloween. We love to dress the kids up and paint their little faces, and do all of that fun stuff. Well, I was getting Emmalee ready to take a nap this morning, you know getting her bottle ready and all of that. Jaidyn was especially quiet, and I thought it was just because he is sick, and didn't feel good. He was laying down in Logan and Christians room watching cartoons, so I THOUGHT I had nothing to worry about. Boy was I wrong. He comes out of the the back all dect out in face paint that he applied to himself.
He got his hands and everything! He was going for and Iron Man look, but I have to admit it looks more like Spiderman to me. He was so proud of what he did, how could I punish him for this? So, I didn't, after all you are only 3 once!

IRON MAN IS POTTY TRAINED!!!

Yes you read that right Iron Man IS potty trained, and now FINALLY so is Jaidyn! His reward, nothing more then an Iron Man costume. And if he got it all down it less then a week, then he also earned a Hulk costume for Gavyn.
So, without further delay here is the worlds tiniest Hulk and Iron Man, and they are both wearing big boy underwear! Whoo hooo!!!!
Watch out for these guys, evil villains!

WAITING FOR CHURCH

How often do we really have all the kids together dressed nice, and behaving really good. The answer only on Sundays! So, I thought I would take the opportunity to get a few shots of them with the camera.
They have all grown so much over the last couple of months. Emmalee is already 8 months old, where has the time gone?
And of course none of them are camera shy!

CONGRATULATIONS CHRISTIAN!!!

We are so proud of Christian. Today at school he received and award for being a TERRIFIC STUDENT. It was the thoughtful award. Here he is going up on the stage and getting his award. He was so excited, to get an award.
Here he is standing on stage with some other kids at his school that also got the award. Each class had one student that got the award.
Afterwards Andy mentioned that when he was in school he had never gotten an award for anything. So, I guess it is safe to say that he takes after his mother. After all, I was student of the year in 4th grade!
They are all doing really great in school!

It's Not Easy Being A Princess

After a long day of bossing everyone around, Emmalee couldn't stay awake any longer. She crashed on the living room floor. So cute!

Busy, busy, busy

So life at our house has been pretty busy. The kids are in school, and who would of thought that I would be more busy then when I taught them at home. I have been on the go since the day school has started.

Anyhow, they all love school, it took Gavyn about two weeks to warm up to the idea of having to stay there all day. Every night he would tell me he was going to wake up the next day sick, and that I should be prepared. Now he runs or skips right in the gate, and doesn't even look back. Although he still tells me that going to school all day is way too much for him.

Logan is loving 4th grade. His teacher is, well not my idea of a great teacher, but she is new and trying really hard, so I can't complain much. She really loves homework though, and I am going to have to talk to her about it. It seems like all Logan does is homework and reading and studying spelling words. I am afraid he might get burnt out too quickly.

Christian is of course a total social butterfly. He has made tons of friends, and has let me know that there are several girls that he likes. I am going to have to lock that boy in a closet till he is 25 just so I can survive. In his class his teacher does the ticket system to reward the students with extra prized for doing a good thing. So anyhow Christian comes home on day and is like "Mom I told a joke in class today, and Mrs. Markum apparently didn't think it was very funny!" So I said, "Really how do you know that she didn't like it?" Christian says, "Well, she made me pay her 100 tickets, so I assume that means she didn't like my joke. But my friend George liked it, he was laughing." So I was like well what was going on was it quiet time, or something like that?" He was like, "No, it was free choice." So, I said, "Hmm it must have just been a really bad joke then." Inside I was laughing. So I told him to try not to tell jokes in class. He seems to have a bit of his dad in him, trying to tell jokes and get laughs in class, I can't wait till parent teacher conference. lol

Since Jaidyn is home with Emmalee, and she doesn't do much, he of course is bored out of his mind. He gets into everything, and I have to keep him busy so the house does not look like a Jaidyn tornado attacked. He is going to be starting speech in a couple of weeks though, so that will give him something to look forward too.

Emmalee is of course getting giant. She is sitting up, and starting to crawl. She has gotten her two bottom teeth, and now her top fangs are coming through, so we were thinking a little vampire for Halloween would be appropriate. I am still waiting for her hair to grow, and it seems like that is the only part of her body that is taking its own sweet time. Probably because it knows I am so anxious to put it in piggy tails and all that fun stuff.

Andy has been super busy at work, doing all the fun stuff that he does there. I have been keeping busy going to the gym and doing some other projects that I have been working on. We finally got all of our furniture from Texas, so we have been working on getting organized. Of course we have way too much stuff, so we are going through it all which is time consuming and at times seems better just the trash it all, and start over.

Sorry this is so long, but I thought I would fill everyone in on us today. Sorry I don't have any pictures, I will post some next time.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school for all of our boys. If you don't know we have been home schooling them for the past 4+ years, but this year we decided to give mom a break and send them to school. Logan, Christian, and Gavyn are all in school this year. We had spent the last few months talking it up, so they were all really excited. This is all three of them and Andy heading to the school.
Here is Logan going into his class. Wow 4th grade, where has the time gone?
Christian is in 3rd this year. He was a little nervous, but he is very social like his mom, so her will be just fine.
Here is Gavyn waiting outside in his line. He was really nervous. They have all day kindergarten, so this morning he asked if he could change and not go all day. He said that he didn't want to leave me all day. It was so sad. But I told him that all the kindergartners are there all day, and he would make a lot of friends.
Here is the sad march into the classroom. Andy walked with him since all of the supplies we are supposed to buy are way to heavy for him to carry.
It was a sad day, but the house is so quiet and clean. With only two around I can get so much more done!
